Bye everyone!

I've decided it's time to bring this blog to an end. I'm moving to a new country and I think it means a new start. I also figure that "All Czeched In" doesn't really apply to living in Russia so we're moving on! My new blog is Off Gallivanting. I'm going to try to do more photography and write weekly with this one. And I'll try not to rant and rave about various topics. I'm a very passionate person, what can I say?

Goodbye, blog.

When life gives you fear and hatred, courage is not found in the form of violence.

With everything going on around the world: ISIS, the attack in Sydney, the rallies in Germany, the attack in Paris, and my soon to be departure out of the safety of home, I'm starting to feel a bit apprehensive. I'm starting to get the same feelings I did after 9/11, which I feel is a topic long beaten to death and left out to rot. And I don't like feeling of being a victim or portraying myself as such because I know I must be stronger than that. And that in order to have people think better of us, no matter the religion (or any group for that matter), we must better ourselves first and offer ourselves to the world. This means opening your heart to those who do not welcome it. It's difficult and inevitably there will be days when you go home and cry because it feels hopeless but we cannot give up. We are humans, we persist.

I pray to Allah to keep me and my family and friends safe. But I know what will happen, will happen and when it's done there is no changing it. I am thankful to those who are close to me who don't judge me for my faith in one way or another, whether they are Muslim or non-Muslim. I appreciate beyond belief those who know I'm just a regular girl with ambition, hope, love, and strange quirks, who was raised by a family who supports her and loves her and drives her crazy just as millions of women on the face of this planet. I appreciate those who can see beyond a hijab and can see a brain and heart. And I hope that one day the rest of the world can see us on that level. Until then, we must keep smiling, keep reaching out, keep persisting.
